Female Presidential Hopeful of France Supports Gay Marriage

Royal_frances_1st_woman_president_2 Meet Segolene Royal, age 53 who is racing to become the first woman president of France.  On November 16, 2006 Socialist party members elected her as their candidate for the 2007 French presidential election.

She's a feminist, who as a junior minister dispensed the morning after pill to teenage girls.  Her family consists of four children, but as a personal choice opted not to marry the children's father.

Royal comes from a large family, she has 2 sisters and 5 brothers.  Jacque Royal the patriarch of the family believed girls and women were meant for obedience and breeding.  He often told his daughters, that they would never amount to much of anything.  She and her sisters had to fight for their primary education.

The polls are showing that she has the voter's trust. A few changes to be made once Royal takes office is raising the minimum wage and bringing over 500,000 subsidized jobs for their youth.  Women's issues play a big part in her campaign.

Where She Stands on LGBT Issues

"In 2000 Royal, as the then Minister of the Family and Children spoke out against anti-gay bullying in schools, saying, “School must be a place of tolerance, of welcome. Too many young people face teasing, social exclusion because of their sexual orientation… Some consider drugs, suicide attempts. It is time to stand up to this hostility shown towards homosexuality.” She later introduced an educational packet in high schools and colleges called “The Happiness of Loving”, designed particularly for teachers and nurses. It comprises a video, educational information and printed copies for students which address the different issues of homosexuality and homophobia. It includes information on the Civil Partnership scheme, the situation of homosexuals and the discrimination they face abroad. Royal commented further on the issue later that year: “It is necessary, in my opinion, to step up against homophobia, to recognise and respect each other, with our differences”.

"A law passed in February 2002, introduced by Royal on behalf of the Jospin government, gave legal recognition, for the first time, to families with same-sex parents, part of the law’s object. Article 7 of the law amended Article 337 of the Civil Code in allowing the parents to “[delegate] all or part of the exercise of their parental authority to a third person, member of the family [or] trustworthy near relation,”. Article 337-1, added by the law, ensures that “delegation may provide, for the needs of education of a child, that the father and mother, or one of them, shall share all or part of the exercise of parental authority with the third person delegatee."

"In a June 2006 interview with LGBT publication Têtu, Royal said "opening up marriage to same-sex couples is needed in the name of equality, visibility and respect" and said that if her party formed the next government, she would introduce a bill to legalize same-sex marriage and adoption.[23]"

The Virginia Tech Murderer Reeks Havoc From The Grave

Nikki_3

Well, I truly hate to use those words but I'm only speaking the truth as I read it...

Nikki Giovanni, famous book author and poet once was a professor of the Virginia Tech student Cho Seung-Hui.  She, along with the rest of the students in her class, especially some of the females found it to be a very unpleasant encounter to say the very least.

Cho and Giovanni met in September 2005, when he enrolled her introduction to creative writing class.  From the onset Cho never tried to blend or mix in.  He separated himself from everyone in the class.

"He wore sunglasses to class and pulled his maroon cap down low over his forehead. When she tried to get him to participate in class discussion, his answer was silence."

Shortly thereafter the female students began lodging complaints.  Cho had began taking snapshots of their legs and knees under the desks by way of his cellphone.  What a sick and disturbed man.  I don't know how come this didn't get him thrown off campus right then.  We expect 5 and 6 year old little boys to get down on their knees and slither across the floor and maybe try and take a peek under a little girl's dress, but a grown man?  I think not!

Cho was so obtrusive the female students opted to start sending in their assignments via computer.  They were no longer willing to show up for class and that's pretty bad. Nikki wrote a letter to the department head.  In return Cho was expelled from class.

I found this by way of  Black America Web/Tom Joyner Morning Show.  It really knocked me off my feet, as I read some of the comments in the forum.  Many feel Ms. Giovanni failed Cho, that she was 'too self-absorbed to help him.'  That, IF she would have given him the needed help this massacre would have never taken place.  Ouch Wow and they must be crazy!

His parents knew long ago, their son was out-of-control.  They knew he needed mental help and it's nothing to be ashamed of.  When someone is in the true throes of mental illness and it doesn't mean crazy, they often need someone to be their voice.  Not everyone can be their own sound of reasoning.

That's a tall order to put on Nikki Giovanni, who is one of my heroes.  She is a native of Cincinnati, just like me.  But, it did give me something to think about.  My dog Ruby died several years ago for unknown reasons.  I think it was her fault, yes I do.

Homosexuality Was The Destruction of Virginia Tech

Fred_phelp_anti_gay Those aren't by any means my thoughts nor suggestions.  I can only give credit to the members of Westboro Church the most notorious anti gay hating religious group led by Fred Phelps.

Phelps' belief, that Cho Seung-Hui the Virginia Tech student responsible for the killings was sent by God to murder these innocent people.  Why?  Because Virginia Tech has a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Alliance.  Phelps' daughter believes the teachers and students brought this wrath upon themselves by not being true Christians.  This organized hatred is a family affair.

Now what's so ironic, is that the Phelps also believe Cho Seung-Hui has been sent to Hell.  What a contradiction.  If you've truly been instructed an ordered by the Creator why would he/she punish you?  I thought you were only punished for doing wrong and Phelps is saying, this a good thing if it was instructed by God.  This man is crazy.

How crazy is he?  Well, he has picketed the American Soldiers funerals for the same very reasons, for fighting for our freedom.  They carried signs in protest at the late Coretta Scott King's funeral.  Basically, these cowards watch the obituaries.  They're like vultures waiting on their next feast.

My aunties were faithful servants for the Lord, paid their tithes every Sunday morning.  Had big old hearts of gold.  Fed the hungry, on auxiliaries and committees.  Once a month put on them white usher board uniforms with matching white gloves, they were the gatekeepers of the church.  Yet, there was one thing my aunts always told me 'Don't Let Religion Drive You Crazy!"

It took me awhile to understand this, but I personally have never know an atheist to bomb an abortion clinic in the name of 'God Who We Trust'.  I've never know an atheist to blow up any buildings in the name of Allah Jesus or Superman.  Yet, I've witnessed on too many accounts with my very own eyes and heard with my own ears, as these perpetrators stood in front of the camera and said, "In the name of God the Most High, He told me to do it.

Now the Phelps should truly be glad that the families members of those whose funerals they protest know something about God, his word and his love.  Because, if they didn't it's a good possibility on such a day of hopelessly and despair, some of those family members could retaliate and the Phelps' could wake up and find themselves dead.

And lastly, each one of them best pray we've misinterpreted the Bible Scriptures and there is no Hell for us to go to.  'Cause if there is then not only do they have a front row seat, they'll be our Keynote Speakers.

Army Recruiter Suspended For Gay Slurs

Sargeant Marcia Romonde has been relieved of her duties, put on suspension for the bigoted remarks sent in an e-mail to Corey Andrew.  However, the Army is still investigating the alleged allegations of abuse.

Romonde had been surfing CareerBuilder.Com which is an on line employment web service.  She discovered Corey's resume posted and notified him, whereby she asked if he was interested in joining the military.  He in return asked would it be possible if he was gay?

This comment embarked a slew of not only racial slurs but bigoted comments regarding his sexual orientation.  Remarks such as "Go back to Africa and do your gay voodoo limbo tango and wango dance and jump around and prance and run all over the place half naked there."

You can read the exchange of e-mails between them Go Back To Africa.

Condoleezza Rice will she give support to Nigerian Gays and Lesbians

Washington D.C. - 32 members of Congress have asked U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to oppose legislation in Nigeria that would criminalize gay and lesbian relationships.  At this time, she has yet to respond.

Nigerian LGBT groups are calling this proposed law draconian.  The proposed measure outlaws same-sex relationships and weddings.  And, if anyone is found witnessing or encouraging same-sex unions, they also will be punished.  This includes religious officials.  There will be no advocacy groups in support of gay and lesbians, they have been banned.  If found guilty of these crimes, you face a penalty of 5 years in prison.

The measure is called the Same Sex Marriage Act, and should come into effect before April 21st , which is Nigeria's general election.  Gay bashing an attacks have already began, Davis Mac-Iyalla, the head of Changing Attitude Nigeria, reported to the U.K. Gay News "Unless the government tones down its language and cancel the bill, we are going to see a flood of refugees as people flee for their lives."

Gay and lesbian Reps. initiated the dialog by form of letter to Rice.  Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin and Barney Frank of Massachusetts.  Only one Republican weighed in, Chris Shays of Connecticut.

Hillary Clinton said NO to Gay Marriage

When presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton announced that she was going to work with the Human Rights Campaign our gay activists I knew she was let's just say wasn't going to honor it.  Not in the way she was speaking.  Nor in the way of compassion she wanted us to feel it.

Yeah, Senator Clinton was implementing an open door policy.  And, five minutes later she nailed it shut.

Humph, but today I found out even more valuable information on January 21, 2000 jillary I mean Hillary said no to same sex marriage.  She echoed these words,  ''Marriage has got historic, religious and moral content that goes back to the beginning of time and I think a marriage is as a marriage has always been, between a man and a woman,'' Clinton said after a news conference on her U.S. Senate campaign trail.

Now, jillary Hillary is in favor of full benefits for partners in same sex relationships, but she really does stand firm on marriage is only meant for a man and woman.  That's why she side stepped and tried to dodge the bullet when asked not long ago was homosexuality a sin.

On January 10 2000 she stated "that she would have voted for the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996, which denied federal recognition of gay marriage and allowed states to ignore same-sex unions licensed elsewhere."

Well, she's definitely former president Bill Clinton's wife and she truly is a politican.

Conservatives Will Boycott National Day of Silence

[Washington] Conservative Linda Harvey is making a plea to parents, she's asking them to keep their children home on April 18th, National Day of Silence.  On this day LGBT students along with their allies and supporters will bring awareness to the homophobia and discrimination, which gay lesbian bisexual and transgender students face, while in the classroom.

On this day, those who stand in support of will participate by being silent.

Linda Harvey has put up a website NotOurKids.com, her position is

"Teenagers deserve an opportunity to study English, history, math, and science -- without being subjected to pro-homosexual proselytizing sanctioned by school authorities.  Students shouldn't be forced to self-censor or adopt beliefs contrary to those of their parents and places of worship.  Even the strongest of our junior high and high school children are not equipped to serve as frontline soldiers in this culture war."

This is not about a cultural war, it's about affording the same opportunities which every student should be granted.  And, that is to learn in a safe non-threatening environment. LGBT students are bullied frequently, for some it's on a day by day basis.

Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) study shows that homophobia is rampant in our nation's schools.  Statistics are showing

  1. One in Five students have been physically assaulted, because of their sexual orientation
  2. Over a tenth, physically assaulted, because of gender expression
  3. Over a third have been physically harassed, due to sexual orientation
  4. More than a quarter, physically harassed because of their gender expression

Students (three quarters) were surveyed and the results, within the past year words such as dyke and faggot have been hurled at them.  And, nine out of ten state hearing 'That's So Gay and You're So Gay is quite constant.  Those are negative associations 'you're stupid and you're worthless.'

Many schools have placed a ban on those phrases, if reported using them an at home suspension will take place.

This type of environment, needless to say is not conducive to learning.  The end results lower grades and children skipping school.  And for those who suffer from being bullied an antagonized because of their gender expression, often drop out of school completely.

So, no Linda Harvey I beg to differ this is not about a cultural war.

National Day of Silence has an estimate of over 6,000 participants.  College students are included in those figures, because they suffer from the same issues due to their sexual orientations.  Everyone in protest will wear stickers and 'speaking cards' are going to be passed out.

They will read,  "Please understand my reasons for not speaking today. I am participating in the Day of Silence, a national youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies in schools. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by harassment, prejudice, and discrimination. I believe that ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today. What are you going to do to end the silence?"

Are you willing to support their cause, by not speaking and saying a multitude ?

Uganda: Family had her raped because she is a Lesbian

Nothing I could have heard today, was any sicker than this.  And, this act was carried out because the victim in their belief went against the very fiber of morality and the Uganda law.  Yet, I ask who has committed the most egregious act of immorality, along with perpetrating a (violent) crime?

When Olivia Nabulwala's admitted to her parents, that she was a lesbian they beat her with their fists verbally assaulted her to degradation and was told if this behavior did not end she would be disowned.  After the discovery that she was not only a lesbian, but now had began a lesbian relationship a family meeting was called.  The beatings and verbal assaults came back into play, but this time she was held down on the ground, in order for Olivia to be defiled, raped.  Her two aunts looked on and sang out with laughter.  When the act was finished, they left her lying there.

I'm almost at a loss for words that her family would permit such a thing.  It's dirty filthy and vile to have someone force themselves on you.  Simply being touched by the wrong person is enough to make your skin crawl.

Yet, when this Uganda woman's family found out, this is exactly what they did.  And, she is now seeking asylum to the United States.  Cases as such aren't normally granted asylum.  The United States, began granting asylum based on sexual orientation in the early '90s.  However, most who've been granted are gay men.

Immigration Equality based in New York, reports 18 asylum cases were won for gay men and transgender women from the Congo, Algeria, Jamaica, Russia, Egypt, Peru, Columbia, Bangladesh and Venezuela.  They lost only two such asylum cases.

Those asking for asylum must prove past persecution and the probability of future persecution due to their religion, race, nationality, political opinion or membership to a group, which includes gay lesbian bisexual and transgender.  Asylum-seekers must show, that the government was unable or unwilling to protect them.

Olivia temporarily resides in Minnesota, whereby a Minnesota immigration judge ruled the rape as 'private family mistreatment'.  The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the judge used the wrong legal standard, and ordered the case sent back for further proceedings.

Army Recruiter says, 'Go Back To Africa With Your Gay Voodoo'

Be all you can be....Join The Army!

Just make sure you dodge way of entry via U.S Army Recruiter Sgt. Marcia Ramonda, sounds as if she may have an emotional problem, or two.  Sgt. Ramonde may even have a few legal problems after these antics.

The U.S. Army Recruiter was scouring careerbuilder.com when she came across a resume, which she found of interest.  So, she contacted the young gentleman.  He went on to divulge, that he was gay.  And, to let her know that he wasn't in support of the 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' policy.  Nothing on his resume stated he was in pursuit of a career with the Army.  Ramonde, decided to find out if he was interested.  She found out more than what she wanted, too.

Corey Andrew, is an African American gay male.  When Sgt. Ramonde explained that he was not qualified to serve in the army, hot e-mails were exchanged between these two.  It lasted for 3 days.  Vicious things were said by the officer in uniform, (conduct not becoming).

"GO BACK TO AFRICA AND DO YOUR GAY VOODOO LIMBO TANGO AND WANGO DANCE AND JUMP AROUND AND PRANCE AND RUN ALL OVER THE PLACE HALF NAKED THERE." By the way, this e-mail war was carried out on US Government the official Army letterhead...tsk tsk.

Ramode1_2

In all fairness, as fair as I should be in this matter Corey Andrew fired back unkind words.  Yet, there is a really big difference to me.  First, Ramonde is a soldier, an officer a government official who is representing the Army.  Where ethics, morals & standards and codes can get you sent to the stockade or worst a dishonorable discharge.

I would not want to be in a fox hole with this Sargeant nor on her platoon or team.  She allowed herself at best to lose all sensibilities, lack of control and her emotions were bouncing off the walls.  Sgt. Ramonde's superior stated, that she was in fact, 'goaded and baited.'  So, this excuse is totally unacceptable.  Sgt. Ramonde allowed herself to be goaded and baited for three days?  At, no time did she stop, think and get a grip on it.  I can't imagine spending three days on such an argument.

When I first read this and I must give credit to Pam's House Blend I roared with laughter.  I'm trying to envision this non-commissioned officer enraged and out of control.  I bet she typed every word fervently and feverishly.  It's sad.  I'm glad Sgt. Ramonde didn't have access to any explosives and bombs.  Something is very wrong with this picture and hopefully the right people will get it figured out.

This situation is under investigation.  Maybe soon we can go on line and find her resume along with profile posted on career builders. com cause she might have to look for another job.  I don't it though.
